Online Video Marketing - Emailing Your Video

Video is a proven online marketing winner. Over and over again, video has shown itself to be superior over other methods of online communication. So obviously, being able to email your list a video is high on many people's priority lists. Problems is, how do you do it?

Video files are WAY to big to send with emails as a standard attachment. Unless your video file is extremely small, I would not advise attempting to email it like you do a still picture or document attachment.

Generally, most videos that do get emailed are in the form of a .wmv file. This stands for Windows Media Video and is one of the smallest video files. It also has pretty bad resolution, which is why it is so small. So for that reason,.wmv videos that get emailed are usually jokes and not professional videos.

Most internet video sharing sites will let you email video, but you can not import a large list, you can only send it to a few people at a time. What does get sent is usually a link to the video, not the video itself. so if this method is good enough for You Tube, it is good enough for you.

What about embed code, you ask? Embed code is generally how you put video onto a website. So will it work in an email? Unfortunately, no. It's not a good idea to add the embed code into your email the same way you embed it into a web page. This is because both ISPs and email software block video embed code so chances are high your email will not get through and it will not play.

SO HOW IS IT DONE?

The easiest way to email your video is to email a link to your video and not the video itself. So if your video is hosted by You Tube, send the link to the You Tube page that contains your video. This is how You Tube does it if you use their share video feature.

A text link would be added just like any other text link, with hyperlinked keywords or HTML messages. A full URL address would need to be used for a plain-text email message.

Of course, many people might think mailing out just a link is too boring. Well, maybe so. To make it look more exciting, use an image link instead of just a test link. The still image will appear to be a video player in your email, but it's not really, it is just the thumbnail.

To do this with an auto-responder service, you need to upload the still image to your website image folder and put a link to that image inside your email message. That should automatically show when someone opens the email. (Not always though, some email clients block images.) So make sure you give your image a title that will make it understood even if the image is blocked. Click here to watch the video would work.

Doing it this way is probably the single best way, although it can get a bit tricky. Including the thumbnail as a still image and having it be an active link to the actual video is the best way to email your video without emailing your video, if that makes sense.

The thumbnail image is instantly recognizable as a video, a plain link is not. So including the thumbnail will instantly tell anyone who opens the email that it contains video whereas if you just have a link, that won't happen.

E-mailing a video is a good idea though, either way. Mailing out the link to the video is certainly better than not using video at all.

Making money online by blogging is very possible if you have the knowledge or are willing to learn what you do not already know. There are a few steps to follow if you want to make money from blogging. If you do not already have a blog started, there are several websites available that offer free blogging, all that is necessary is that you sign up. There is no fee involved, and it is very simple. Blogger.com is one of the easiest free sites to use, and it has been around for over fifteen years. This free blogging site and others like it offer tutorials to get you started if you have never blogged before.

Once you have registered for the site you will need to set up your profile and templates. Once this is done you are ready to start making money. The first thing that you will need is traffic, and preferably targeted traffic. This means traffic that is interested in what you say on your blog. Getting this traffic can be done in a couple of different ways. One way is to comment on other blogs, and some readers will follow your comments back to your site. Make sure your posts reflect your blog interests, and try to respond, not just a two or three word phrase. If your comments are interesting and informative then you will get more targeted traffic.

Signature forum posts are another great way to get targeted traffic to your own blog website. If you already belong to one of these then you simply add your blog URL to your forum signature and then you post some comments. It is important not to spam, and to leave informative or interesting comments. Other members of these forums will want to hear more and they will come to your blog.

Once your blog starts to get targeted traffic then it is time to start making some money off of the blog. Adsense is a terrific way to do this. Open an account and once it is approved then choose the type of ad you wish to display on your blog. Once the ad is installed then you should start making some money in your adsense account. Affiliate programs are another way to make money with your blog, so it is a good idea to join some that share common interests with your own blog.

Making money by blogging is not hard if you know what to do. Start a blog on one of the free sites if you do not already have one. Then get some traffic to your blog, preferably targeted traffic. Put some ads on your blog from Adsense or another program that pays for advertising. Join some affiliate programs that share common interests with your blog. By following these tips, making money online by blogging is quick and easy.

Blogging Is Writing - Five Great Tips To Make Money Blogging

Got a blog? Great. Then you know that blogging involves writing, and the more writing you do, the more money you will make blogging. Let's look at five tips to help you to become an expert blogger.

1. The more you write, the more you earn

As a blogger, your primary task is content creation. This is because without content, you won't have traffic, and without traffic, you won't have an income. So content comes first.

However, there are many ways you can create content.

My favorite way is to speak, rather than write. I use a speech recognition program on both my Mac and my PC, to help me to create content more quickly. Although you'll need to train yourself to dictate your thoughts, the time you spend with the program in the first few weeks is amply repaid, because you've got more content on your blog or blogs, and thus more traffic.

2. Plan your blog posts each week and month

Planning your blogging is vital. I teach bloggers, and the first habit I encourage them to acquire is the habit of planning everything they do. Planning your content is vital, because some days you just don't feel like writing.

On these days, your plan gets you blogging, because you know exactly what you're writing about on any given day.

One of my favorite tactics is to create series. Once you've planned a series of posts on a particular topic, writing the series is easy.

A series can be anywhere from three to ten posts long. Here's an idea: create a "30 days" series - this gives you 30 blog posts to plan in advance. Once you've done the planning, you'll be amazed at how quickly you can write the series.

3. Create a network of blogs

One blog, or a network of blogs on the same topic?

Initially, focus on one blog, at least for the first year. Your first, primary blog will build traffic via the search engines, and this foundation of traffic is a real blessing - once you have hundreds of readers each day, you can USE that traffic.

After your first year, I advise that you hive off some of your blog's categories to make new blogs. This is because an enormous blog becomes unwieldy. Posts get buried, and it's hard to give previous posts the attention they deserve.

4. Where's the money? Set income goals for your blog

You must set income goals for your blog. Start small: a dollar a day. Then increase your income goals by ten times as soon as you reach a goal. So your first goal is a dollar a day, then ten dollars a day, then $100 a day, then $1000 a day, and so on.

5. Boost your traffic: the more readers, the higher your blog's income

Finally, as important as writing and content creation in general is, nothing beats marketing your blog. To get more traffic, you need to market your blog. So do it, every day - it's not optional, you MUST market your blog.

So, there you have five tips to help you to make money blogging - use them and prosper.
